more vancouver sketches
pencil
sketching in Stanley Park. I biked around the outside of the park, it was beautiful! Took me a long time cuz I stopped to take pictures and/or draw.

This was sketched on one of the "back trails" that went by a lake in the park. There were a bunch of swans swimming there, and one of them came right up to where I was sitting and stayed there, like they were posing for me! It was pretty cool. Eventually it figured out that I didn't have any bread or food to give it, so it swam away.

sketches from vancouver
here are a few sketches from my trip to the wonderful city of Vancouver. where it is warm and snow-free! hooray!
ballpoint pen
waiting for the aeroplane.
pencil
found a nice walkway in North Vancouver right by the seabus terminal. Actually on the BCIT campus.
pencil crayon
a guy playing cello in the public market on Granville Island. I initally sat down at a table where I was in front of the guy and had a good view of the cello, and I was like, "cool, I can draw the curvy cello shape!" but then apparently somebody else was "sitting there" but they did not have their bum in a chair. But I moved anyway. Thus, you get "behind the cello dude" view.
pencil crayon
felt marker
drawn on the ferry to Victoria. Quote is from a book my sister was reading, "Nineteen Minutes" by Jodi Picoult.

pronghorn
gouache on paper
I did a stylized drawing of a pronghorn for a stained glass pattern I'm doing for my mom. I did a few variations and decided to try painting the one I liked the best, just for fun. I liked the way it turned out!
lent sketch - rosary
good ol' sharpie

notes/sketch from one of the lent services at church. Mystery moment was focussing on praying for the circle of people you know, and then expanding your circle from there. I drew the rosary first, and then decided to pray for people as I colored in the beads.
