rage against God

This drawing is based on Psalm 2:1-4, 9:

Why do the nations so furiously rage together? And why do the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth rise up, and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord, and against his Anointed. Let us break their bonds asunder and cast away their yokes from us.

He that dwelleth in heaven shall laugh them to scorn; the Lord shall have them in derision. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

From what I gathered from the sermon on sunday, these verses talk about the people wanting to break away from God, and rejecting him. "Let us break their bonds asunder and cast away their yokes from us." That's basically what I was trying to say in the drawing. One of Metallica's CD covers was the inspiration for the fist (that's sort of what I was picturing in my mind anyway). My fist looks pretty tame compared to that, now that I look at it. Needs more clenching action.
