pretty happy with how this dude turned out. The reference is from a Shutterstock photo that I may or may not have stolen from work *ahem*. I used the photo for a cover I did, and thought, hey that would be fun to draw. So i did. :) This drawing took around 1.5 hours.

felt like drawing with charcoal. This drawing was much faster, as you can see, cuz it is sucky. Maybe 15 minutes or so.

in an attempt to practice more observed drawing, I am going to draw something everyday. Pick an object and draw it, done deal. I'm going to try not to be too hard on myself regarding quality, (at first), the point is to do it, to draw more. I visit the website Drawn! quite regularly, and they have featured a few artists on there that draw everyday as an exercise. Some people have a theme, like they draw everything they eat, or draw everything they purchase. I don't think I'll have a theme, but maybe I'll start with objects around the house. I just would like to set aside time everyday to draw. Improvement is inevitable. The above drawings didn't take too long, about 5 or 10 minutes.
