visual review of The Other Boleyn Girl

This is a collage I've been working on for a while, finished it a couple weeks ago but hadn't gotten around to putting it up yet. It's my response to the movie The Other Boleyn Girl. Very good movie, I didn't know quite what to expect when I went to see it, and was pleasantly surprised and disturbed at the same time. A dark and twisting, backstabbing story. The hand in the collage represents Anne Boleyn, and the cards in the background are the result of her relentless pursuit of the throne.

Nice works, I like seeing the method behind the madness and this one has much madness. :P One question. Why the peacock feathers? pride? I haven't seen the movie though I've heard good things.

haha... yes... lots of madness in this one, it was quite fun. i especially like how the ink splots turned out nice and bloody after coloring them and playing with blending modes in photoshop.

to be honest, i just liked the texture in the peacock feathers, didn't really have any deep meaning behind those. i know, i know, disappointing. but... pride would be an accurate thing for it to represent. i mean.. you are correct, that was exactly my intention... *cough cough*
